Morele.net pushes the boundaries of automation: proprietary modifications and a new warehouse

Thanks to proprietary technological modifications and the team’s persistence in seeking unconventional solutions, Morele.net now packs faster, cheaper, and more efficiently. The expanded conveyor and packaging system achieves a throughput of 1,800 parcels per hour, supported by a newly opened 5,600 m² warehouse facility.

Morele.net’s logistics is entering its next stage of technological development, proving that implementing off-the-shelf market solutions is merely a foundation for further innovation. The Maintenance Team at Morele.net has modernized the machine for packing small orders, resulting in a packaging line whose stability and precision parameters significantly exceed the specifications declared by the manufacturer.

“A key element of this implementation is the small 230 x 160 x 100 mm boxes. Thanks to an original design idea, the box structure allows the cardboard to be folded just 2 cm from the top, whereas standard solutions require a margin of at least 5 cm. Additionally, the machine trims the boxes to a height of just 4 cm. This precision allows for extremely tight product packaging, which translates into reduced cardboard consumption, lower weight, and almost complete elimination of fillers,” comments Mateusz Kapusta, Logistics Director at Morele.net.

“The secret lies in the innovative box design. Seemingly minor changes have allowed us to push far beyond the boundaries defined in the packaging machine’s original specifications,” he adds.

Furthermore, packing stations in the Morele.net warehouse are now supplied with boxes via a modern suspended line. With an optimal mix of sizes, this allows for the automated packing of 1,400 parcels per hour and the simultaneous transport and sorting of up to 1,800 shipments.

This technological leap is accompanied by infrastructure expansion. Morele.net has just launched a new 5,600 m² warehouse. The scale of operations is so significant that, according to forecasts, the new space will be fully utilized within the next two weeks. This combination of in-house technical thought and new warehouse facilities provides a solid foundation for the further scalability of the Morele.net business.
